NetGaming has stressed that the company “working relentlessly” in pursuing its latest point of expansion after being granted an igaming supplier licence from the Michigan Gaming Control Board.

This will permit the online casino content developer to supply its digital gaming suite to operators in the state, which will initially see players gain access to a trio of games. 3 Wild Jokers, Aped, Juicy Gold 100 and Casino Punks will be the first to become available, with an added suite of titles to become available during the remainder of the year.

Despite this issuance representing NetGaming’s maiden first US state licence, the supplier does assert that many more applications are currently underway.

NetGaming currently provides content under MGA, UK and Curacao licences, with certifications also gained in Georgia and Belarus.

Furthermore, the group has also secured a licence in Greece, and vows to launch in the market soon alongside “one of the biggest operators”.

Pallavi Deshmukh, NetGaming’s CEO, said: “We are thrilled to receive the licence. The licensing process in the US is arduous and is a big undertaking. We worked relentlessly to ensure all the i’s were dotted and the t’s were crossed.

“For a start-up to receive an igaming licence in the US is no small feat. I am incredibly proud of our team, who are my strength. We can’t wait to go live with our launch partner.”

Last month, the Michigan regulator reported yet another igaming revenue record through November, with the $145.43m figure surpassing the previous record of $141m that was set just one month earlier.

In total, Michigan commercial and tribal operators reported online gaming and sports betting revenue of $186.27m, which represented a slight 2.1 per cent drop month-on-month from $190.2m.

For the year-to-date, igaming revenue through the close of November came in at $1.3bn, while online sports betting tracked $188.8m.
